Crayon Sets the Record Straight: Reveals Age in Explosive Interview

2 Min Read

During a recent interview, Crayon, the talented Mavin signee, shed light on the prevalent issue of inaccurate information on the internet. He emphasized that a significant portion of the information available online is not reliable, and this is particularly true when it comes to details about his age.

Crayon attributed the misinformation surrounding his age to his early start in schooling and early completion of secondary school. He expressed his frustration with the discrepancies, stating, “What you see on Wikipedia sometimes is not accurate. For me, I started schooling at a very young age and finished my secondary school very young. So all of that is just what you see on the internet, man. I’m 24; I’m going on 25 in July. It’s crazy; sometimes you see some things that are not matching.

Moreover, Crayon recently disclosed his decision to forego pursuing a university education in order to fully concentrate on his music career. He revealed that after attempting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) five times, he decided to abandon his academic aspirations.

“On the fifth try, I had already met Baby Fresh, who used to work at Mavin. Juggling school and music simultaneously is quite stressful in Nigeria. Music alone is demanding,” Crayon shared. Recognizing the toll of managing both education and music, he had a heartfelt conversation with his parents about his passion for music. Crayon explained, “So I sat down with my parents and told them, ‘Mom and Dad, I want to pursue music.’ I explained that it felt like my heart was leading me in that direction. My dad suggested that I give the fifth try a chance, and if it didn’t work out, I could pursue music.”
