Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have joined millions of others across the world to condemn the Paris terror attacks and pay condolences to the affected.
While Ronaldo’s message was directed at the “victims & families”, Lionel Messi was more impersonal and directed at the city.
The Portugal and Real Madrid forward took to his official Twitter handle @cristiano yesterday to pay his condolence on Saturday, stating: “I can’t be indifferent to the horror of the Paris attacks. My thoughts go to the victims & families.”
Argentina and Barcelona striker Lionel Messi, who does not have a Twitter account, uploaded a picture to his Instagram page with the message: Pray for Paris.
