The Imo State Public Health Emergency Operation Centre has announced plans to commence COVID-19 community testing in all the 27 local government areas of the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Damaris Osunkwo in a statement, said this would help the state to properly ascertain the incidence of the disease in the state, identify those infected and commence treatment.

Osunkwo who is also the Incident Manager said the testing would start on Sept. 7, 2020, adding that the local government areas to be visited would be announced ahead of time.
She further assured residents of the state of government’s commitment to protecting their interests especially as it concerned their health.
