Speaking with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bauchi, Mohammed said because of the nature of their calling, members of his association were more at risk, hence the need for them to adhere to stipulated precautionary measures.
“Their physical proximity to others in the vehicles and exposure to diseases through passengers makes them vulnerable, hence the need to be extra careful, ” he said.
Mohammed urged members to adhere to the social distancing rule and observe other preventive measures to avoid contracting and spreading the disease.
According to him, the association will continue to educate its members on the recommended measures to be taken as prescribed by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Mohammed also urged travellers to adhere to proper hygiene practices and maintain social distance.
