Amira Mohibba Abdulrazak, Chairperson, Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) Plateau chapter, has urged women to observe health tips prescribed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) federal and state ministries of health as precautionary measures against the COVID-19 disease.
Abdulrazak made the call in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Jos.
She said that the virus was no respecter of tribe, religion or race and that women should do their best in observing the various precautionary measures.

She also urged mothers to ensure that their children and wards adhered to the various precautionary measures for the prevention of the virus.
The chairperson further called on people to obey the social distancing measure, as this was not the time for visiting but staying indoors as a means of curtailing the spread of the disease.
She said the lockdown period was a difficult one especially for those whose means of livelihood entailed going out daily.
She appealed to state governments and public-spirited individuals to help the less privileged in the society in these trying times by giving them relief materials.
