Nigerians are known for their happy spirits, their ability to make an unwanted situation palatable. Some would call it making lemonade out of lemons. This is the case of a Nigerian Photographer who tested positive for COVID-19 and has shared his experience at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, Lagos state.
The photographer known as Seun O revealed COVID-19 has brought people from all walks of life together and he is happy to be in the same ward as the Executive Director of an undisclosed multinational company, ex-commissioner, pilots, etc among patients who were admitted at the Infectious Disease Hospital.
Seun said he found camaraderie in the group of COVID-19 patients that comprise of both young and old as they have learned to live together and make the best of the situation.
The Photographer made this known in an Instagram post.
“Inside The Lagos Isolation Center
“My first 24 hours at the Isolation Center in Yaba, Lagos. I will try as much as possible to keep you updated with daily developments while I’m here.
“There has been great camaraderie amongst us in my ward. We are an assortment of characters from different walks of life.
“From an executive director at a multinational company, pilots, former commissioner to a driver. The age margin is wide and varies from teenager to early 60’s yet we cohabit seamlessly in one accord.
Applauding the medical staff, Seun O said “The doctors, nurses and all hospital staff are the real MVPs, they have been glorious.”
