“Like he has done to other states across the country, I am happy to present these two modular motorised fumigators to the Yobe government, on behalf of the Arole Oduduwa, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

“Ooni’s definition of monarch includes the progressive willingness and readiness to always support the government, especially in times like this. Kabiyesi believes that government should not be left alone.

“Kabiyesi has given these machines to about 20 states of the federation, and the last phase of the donation, which will cover the entire country, will commence this week”, Olafare said.

He also lauded the Yobe governor, Mai Mala Buni, for his giant stride and leadership styl, wishing him an all-round success.

Receiving the machines, Dike expressed appreciation to the monarch for the gesture.

“We are so grateful for the donation of the machines and I want to assure the royal father that they will be used for the purpose they are meant for.

“We are proud of the Ooni and we pray to God to continue to be with him and bless him in all ramifications,” he said.

In her remarks, the Public Health Consultant to the Ooni on COVID-19 intervention projects, Prof. Olapeju Esimai, described the machines as multipurpose equipment, saying they were easy to use and maintain.

“First, it can be used for the fumigation of our environment against viral and bacterial infections, including the rampaging coronavirus, while it can equally serve agricultural purposes.

“For fumigation, all you need to put inside the tank is sodium hydrocloride at a measurement recommended by public health experts and you are good to go,” Esimai explained.

On his part, the manufacturer of the machines, Mr Victor Badejo, explained that each of them had has two pressure engines, a tank and other components, thus making it very simple to operate.
