COVID-19 has slapped our brain back to reset mode – Keyamo

2 Min Read

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, says that the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has brought not only evil but some good to the world.

He said that the global pandemic has helped mankind rediscover the importance of being humane.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) stated this in a tweet on Saturday.

Keyamo noted that the “irrelevant differences” of politics, tribe and religion that have divided mankind for so long have been obliterated by the onset of the deadly virus, fostering a more united world.

He tweeted, “The greatest lesson of COVID-19 is that it has blurred all the irrelevant differences of mankind which are politics, tribe & religion.

“It has slapped our brains back to reset mode & teaches us that the essence of life is about our common humanity and our common survival as a race.”

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that the impact of COVID-19 on the world would reverberate for ages to come.

“We think it’s going to be a virus that stalks the human race for quite a long time to come until we can all have a vaccine to protect us,” Dr. David Nabarro, a representative for the WHO, stated on Sunday.
