Ojo gave the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Oye-Ekiti.
He said that he was aware that the current lockdown was not convenient for the commercial drivers, but it was necessary for the safety of the lives and health of the people.
The chairman said it was important to abide by the government directives, and appealed to the transport unions to maintain social distance and abide with all the guidelines to curb the spread of COVID-19.
“I am aware that the current situation does not favour their business, but they have to comply with the precautionary measures by not invading the borders to take passengers out or into the state.
“I want to appeal to the leadership of the unions to persuade their members not to violate the lockdown directives and stay safe,” he said.
