Alhaji Abubakar Ma’aji, Bauchi State Head of Civil Service, made the announcement in a statement issued by Umar Said, Information Officer in the Office of the Head of Service.
The statement was made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Bauchi.
Ma’aji said that staff on GL 13 and above are to continue with their normal duties.
He named health and security personnel among tessential staff that were to report to work during the period to sustain coordination of effective service delivery.
Ma’aji said that the measure became necessary considering that 42 Nigerians, including Gov Bala Muhammed of the state, had tested positive to the Coronavirus.
“We urge citizens to observe necessary precautions during interaction; there should be minimal contact among people,” he said.
