A Kano State High Court under Justice A.T. Badamasi on Friday ordered the state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to stop the arrest of officials of the state branch of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
A court order suit no. KN/37/2016 states that, “Upon perusing the ex-parte application dated 3rd February, 2016, filed by the plaintiffs/applicants, accompanied by a 24-paragraph affidavit in support, deposed by first applicant (Baba Salisu) and a nine-annexure and written address attached thereto.”
The order continues that, “An interim injunction is hereby made restraining the defendants/respondents either by themselves, servants, agents, representatives, privies or cronies or whosoever by whatever name known or called from arresting or causing the arrest and detention of the plaintiffs/applicants or publishing or cause to be published in any media or granting radio interviews or any radio/television programme whatsoever or doing anything whatsoever in relation to the subject matter of this suit pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice hereon.”
The matter was adjourned to 29th February 2016 for hearing of the motion on notice.
