The police charged Akin, who resides at Alapere, Ketu, Lagos, with rape.
Magistrat Ejiro Kubeinje, who did not take the plea of Akin, ordered the prosecution to send the case file to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
Kubeinj adjourned the case until Sept. 24 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, ASP Bisi Ogunleye, told the court that Akin committed the offence sometime in 2015 at his residence.
He alleged that Akin rape the teenager and warned her not to tell anybody.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which attracts life imprisonment for any convicted offender.
