Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted immediate-past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, bail in the sum of N50 million.
Fayose was detained after turning himself in to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at its headquarters in Abuja last week Tuesday.
He was subsequently transferred to Lagos and arraigned before the court.
The outspoken governor is being tried over an 11-count charge bordering on money laundering, abuse of public office, criminal breach of trust and stealing to the tune of N6.9bn preferred against him by the anti-graft body.
