At the court sitting on Thursday, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court Abuja has issued a 24-hour ultimatum on the Department of State Service, DSS, to release Omoyele Sowore and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare.
Sowore, who is the convener of the #RevolutionNow Protest has been detained in DSS custody for several months, despite several court orders directing the federal government agency to release him on bail.

Justice Ojukwu adjourned the trial to Friday, December 6, over the failure of the prosecution to comply with her order of November 6 directing them to serve some documents on the defence counsel, Mr Femi Falana (SAN). She then issued a cost of #100,0000 against the prosecution for sloppiness and imposing “frivolous adjournments” on the court.
