Renowned Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has sparked a conversation about marriage, shedding light on the often unspoken challenges couples face, including the sharing of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Speaking candidly about her own experiences, the actress revealed how her past marriage was marred by instances of infection transmitted by her estranged husband.
Taking to her social media platform, Etinosa shared her views on the topic, stating, “When I was married of course I received infection from time to time. But that’s marriage for you. Marriage is about sharing. You share everything… including infection.”
In a revealing interview with Chude Jideonwo in 2023, Etinosa delved deeper into the hardships she endured during her marriage. Recounting her early marriage at the age of 22, the actress disclosed the harrowing experiences of domestic violence inflicted upon her by her ex-husband, which nearly cost her life. She candidly admitted to resorting to illicit substances as a means of escape from the anguish of her husband’s infidelity and abuse.
