A Michigan couple suddenly collapsed and died in their apartment while they were preparing to eat dinner before retiring for the night.
They were found by a neighbor, who had visited them and thought they were sleeping for too long and so called the police.
The couple had been living together for six weeks and Child Protective Services had recently removed two children from the home.
The husband, Cameron Hulet, had a long record of criminal activities in Monroe County.
Marijuana, which appeared to be in the process of being divided up for sale, was said to have been found in the couple’s apartment.
Authorities are yet to ascertain the cause of death as there were no traces of truama or forced entry into the house.
“The death has seemed like a puzzle as there is no indication as to what might have caused the death,” said Dave Uhl, a Dundee village manger.
Dundee police also disclosed that Cameron had been in custody in the past for possession of marijuana and assault.
