A couple residing in Lekki area of Lagos state have been arrested by the police at Maroko division, for allegedly stabbing their neighbor, Moses Ayemi and his wife, Jovita with a broken bottle 10 times.
Moses and his wife were stabbed for allegedly accusing the suspects of emptying urine on their doorstep at their Lekki Phase 1 residence, despite being warned repeatedly not to indulge in such an act.
The suspects, 33-year-old Nnamdi Obodo and his wife Cynthia, who acted out of anger and inflicted heavy bodily harm on the couple, have been charged to court on a two-count charge of felony, with inflicting injury, which is punishable under sections 409 and 224 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The suspects, who have been remanded in custody, have pleaded not guilty in the open court.
They have been granted bail in the sum of N50,000 each with two sureties each in like sum. The Magistrate, Mrs O. M. Ajayi, adjourned the case to 28th of November, 2016.
