Coronavirus: UCH Asks Workers Aged 60 & Above to Work From Home

Reacting to the increased number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria from 3 to 8, the University College Hospital Ibadan (UCH), has come out with new guidelines for its members of Staff.

The management of the institution has advised its staff who are 60 and above to work from home.

This was contained in an internal memorandum issued by the medical advisory committee of UCH.

The memo advised all staff of the hospital to strictly observe personal protective measures to curtail the spread of the Infection.

Staff were also advised to avoid all non-essential travel outside the country and also to avoid large gatherings within and outside the premises of UCH.

The memo also instructed all Heads of departments to prevail on their staff who have travelled to any of the 13 Countries listed on the travel ban in the last two weeks to immediately self quarantine for the next 14 days.

It thereafter advised staff who are 60 years of age and above to work from home if possible.

UCH advised all members of staff to cooperate with members of the task force on COVID-19 who will visit their work spaces to ensure compliance with measures put in place to prevent work place transmission of the disease.
