Chinese government has placed a ban on the trade and consumption of wild animals as part of efforts to manage the deadly Coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
It would be recalled that the first case of Coronavirus was reported in Wuhan , China,2019.
Health experts who traced the virus to animals stated that Coronavirus is zoonautic which means it can be transmitted from animals to humans.
This informed the decision of the chinese government to ban trading and consuming wild animals which may be unsuspecting carriers of the infection.

The virus which continues to spread like wildfire has been reported in over 20 countries including US, UK and Canada.
Death toll seems to be on the rise as no fewer that 2000 people have lost their lives to the viral disease.
