Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the police to arrest conveners of large gatherings in the state due to outbreak of coronavirus.
Sanwo-Olu’s order came after his earlier placement of ban on all religious gatherings with worshipers of over 50 people.
During a broadcast in Lagos state on Friday, March 20, the governor said the large gatherings include social clubs, night clubs, event centres and others.
He said the move is to prevent the spread of the pandemic, adding that the police have been given the go-ahead to arrest and disperse all such gatherings in the state.
