Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, a well-known skit maker and content creator, has disclosed the rationale behind his decision to part ways with his distinctive dreadlocks.
In a recent interview with Channels TV, Sabinus shared that the initial purpose of his dreadlocks was for branding and enhancing his image. However, he ultimately chose to shave them off as he found they sometimes weighed down on his thinking, akin to carrying a mental burden.
He expressed that the weight of the dreadlocks felt like “luggage on my head,” affecting his thought processes. In search of a renewed burst of creativity and fresh ideas, he decided to revert to his signature low cut, the hairstyle that marked his early days in the limelight.
Sabinus acknowledged that his initial rise to fame was linked to his low cut hairstyle. Now, by returning to it, he hopes to invite a wave of creativity and innovative concepts to fuel his content creation journey once more.
