There is confusion in Nollywood over the reported death of popular actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly called Junior Pope.
Junior Pope and three other actors were said to have lost their lives as their boat capsized in Anam River, Anambra State, while returning from a filming location.
Delta State Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emma Onyemeziem confirmed the development.
Vanguard quoted Onyemeziem as stating that Junior Pope’s corpse had been taken to the morgue.
However, President of AGN, Emeka Rollas said that the 39-year-old Junior Pope is alive.
Rollas, who took to his Instagram page on Wednesday evening, said the actor was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
“What God cannot do does not exist. Junior Pope is alive.
“He is taking treatment in the hospital,” Rollas wrote.
