Higuain is moving to AC Milan due to the arrival of five-time FIFA Ballon D’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite scoring 55 goals in 105 appearances in Turin, the Argentine was told he was surplus to requirement after the arrival of UEFA Champions League record goalscorer, Ronaldo.
If he was rejected in Juventus, Higuain got the opposite reaction at AC Milan as thousands of fans trooped out to give him a befitting welcome.
And the player has promised to justify the confidence the AC Milan board, manager Gennaro Gattuso, and the fans have reposed in him by helping the club get back to its glorious past.
He said, “It’s great to see so many fans.
“But I also want to send greetings to those of Juventus who have given me so much affection.
“First I’ll sign and then I’ll talk. I’ll have my medical tomorrow and then I hope to sign.
“I’m starting a new adventure. I wish to greet to all the [Milan] fans and also the Juventus ones who gave me so much love.
“Leonardo [Bonucci] convinced me. I’ve already talked to [Gennaro] Gattuso. I’m here to go as far as possible.”
