Community Nab Suspected Cultists Over Alleged Attack On Renounced Cult Member

Vigilante of the Aladja community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State today arrested and handed over a twenty-two year old suspected cultist, Precious Aghaowha for allegedly attacking a renounced member of Aye confraternity, Israel Dolor.

Arrested alongside the suspect is one Daniel Mitini, believed to be a member of Vikings confraternity.

Daily Post reports that the suspects and three others identified as Alakwa, Godfrey and Ogedegbe now at large had attacked Israel Dolor with two of his friends, Farouk and Stanley with battle axe, daggers and other dangerous weapons at Asjam drinking spot in Aladja on Sunday, July 2 at about 8pm.


It took the intervention of the Joint Military Task Force on guard at the college road in to dislodge the cultists.

The suspect, Precious Aghaowah was arrested at the Aladja community waterside around 8:47am while waiting for members of his gang.

Precious who is based in Warri confessed to have committed the crime.

Aghaowha stated that,” I come because I hear say Vigilante catch my friend, Gaga for waterside. I carry the charm for protection. I nor get problem with anybody” he said as he displayed charms tied to his left hand.

The other suspect, Daniel Mitini, however, denied being involved in the attacks and other cult related offences of last night.

Angered by the development, the 1st Vice President of Aladja Community Council, Mr. Kingsley Vwavwahor handed the suspects over to the police in Ovwian/Aladja Division to do the needful just as he declared three others, Alakwa, Godfrey and Ogedegbe who are now on the run, wanted.
