Personnel of the Nigeria Air Force recently trained as Special Forces on Search and Rescue has been charged to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

AVM Charles Ohwo, the Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command, Bauchi, stated this while receiving the team at the 205 Combat Search and Rescue Group, on Tuesday in Kerang, Plateau.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the personnel were trained at the Air Force Special Operations Command, Bauchi.
The commanding officer, who congratulated the personnel for successfully undergoing the course, charged them to be highly disciplined
Ohwo said the troop, who now have additional competency, were deployed to the Rescue Group in Kerang, to support the fight against all forms of insecurity in Plateau.
“I want to congratulate all of you for successfully going through search and rescue course.
“You are first regiment personnel, then Special Forces and now you have additional competency of search and rescue
“Today, you are deployed to Kerang, your mother base to add to the security architecture in Plateau.
“You have additional competency, and I also expect you to be disciplined and professional in your conduct,” he urged.
The commanding officer further charged the personnel to uphold the principles of Air Force, adding that anyone caught wanting would be not spared.
He also advised them to synergise with other security agencies working in Plateau, so as to stem the tides of insecurity in the state.
NAN reports that the troop were received alongside Air Commando Ebimobo Ebiowe, the Commander of the 205 Combat Search and Rescue Group.
