In a recent interview, popular Nigerian skit-maker and comedian, Abraham Ereme, widely known as Twyse, opened up about a distressing period in 2016 when he contemplated ending his life. Twyse, who commands a significant following on social media, shed light on a troubling episode in his life, in which Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham played a significant but contentious role.
The comedian recalled how he took to Twitter in 2016, expressing his deep despair and thoughts of leaving this world. This series of alarming tweets sent shockwaves through his fanbase, causing widespread concern among his followers.
During his interview, Twyse explained that, at the time, he was grappling with numerous personal challenges and decided to vent his emotions online. Fortunately, several individuals, including a preacher, prominent figures like Falz, and the aforementioned Toyin Abraham, reached out to him with messages of support and encouragement, helping him navigate through this dark period.
However, the story takes a twist as Twyse revealed that, after emerging from his depression, Toyin Abraham, who had publicly pleaded with him not to end his life, seemingly cut off all communication with him. Twyse expressed confusion over her sudden silence and clarified that he did not believe her initial intervention was merely an internet publicity stunt.
In response to Twyse’s accusations, Toyin Abraham’s management released a series of screenshots showing conversations between the actress and the comedian. These screenshots indicate that Toyin Abraham did, in fact, reach out to Twyse and maintained communication with him until 2021.
