Popular comedian, Ayo Makun has written a petition to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Delta State Police Command against a Facebook influencer who claimed he slept with Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, May.

The petition dated January 24, 2024, was written by lawyer, Odiaka Vincent Iweze for Pentagon Partners Legal Practitioners, the comedian’s legal representatives.

The comedian shared a copy of the five-page petition to his 8.3 million Facebook followers on Monday.

In the petition, AY claimed that the influencer, Agozi Samuel through his Facebook page Agozi Commedy, published a 4:32 minute video in which he made malicious and defamatory statements against him.

He said that the video punlished on January 20, 2024, had garnered 29,000 views and 1,000 interactions since it was published.

The comedian said that Agozi claimed that he (AY) was sleeping with May Edochie and therefore responsible for the friction in Yul Edochie’s matrimonial home.

“This is what really happened. AY slept with May Edochie. That was why Yul Edochie and May Edochie are not together today,” the petition quoted Agozi as saying in the video shared on the Agozi Commedy page.

The comedian maintained that the statements made by the influencer are false, baseless and therefore defamatory.

He said that Agozi’s intentional dissemination of the said video is contrary to Section 24 (1) and Section 24 (2) of the Cybercrime Act, 2015.

The comedian said the making and dissemination of the video has caused a “great blow” to his personal and professional life.

He urged the police to arrest and investigate Agozi over defamation, cyberstalking and cyberbullying.
