The senator representing Bayelsa East senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce, has begged the senator representing Kogi West, Sen. Dino Melaye to come to the senate on Wednesday, even if he is on crutches.
In a Monday tweet on his verified Twitter handle, Murray-Bruce said the chamber has not been the same without Melaye.
Recall that Melaye had in April been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja while attempting to proceed to Morocco for an official assignment.
The following days and weeks led to the senator jumping off a police van as he was being transported to Kogi state, alleging a plot to inject him with a poisonous substance.
Murray-Bruce tweeted, “I want @dino_melaye to come to the Senate on Wednesday even if he is on crutches. The @NGRSenate is not the same without Dino! We miss him. I know he is on crutches but I want him to come on Wednesday and I will stand with him.”
