An American television news network, Cable News Network, CNN, has yet again mocked Nigeria and Nigerians over the continued absence of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari from the country.
The recent media jibe comes after a delegate of the All Progressive Congress, APC governors visited the president some days ago followed by another seven governors from the governor’s forum.
The news network in its latest edition of “The Global Public Square (GPS)”, a foreign affairs show which is anchored by Fareed Zakaria mocked Nigerians for the absence of its president in the country for over two months.
One of the questions asked on Sunday asked which “head of state from which country has not set foot in his homeland in over two months?” and then went ahead to tick the option with Nigeria on it amidst other options including Cuba, Saudi Arabia and Syria.
A Nigerian on social media and former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Chidi Odinkalu, shared the photo online and captioned it: “What do you say Nigerians? Type your comments below please.”
