CNN Watchers in Boston area got a lot more than they bargained for on Thanksgiving.
Last night, at 11pm EST, some unsuspecting viewers getting ready for a brand new episode of Anthony Bourdain’s, ‘Parts Unknown’ on CNN were surprised to see that the scheduled programme was replaced with explicit material starring adult transsexual film star, Riley Quinn and it lasted for half an hour.
The mess up only affected viewers in Boston as CNN broadcasting in the city is provided by a local cable TV, RCN.
Twitter use, @solikearose couldn’t wait for the latest episode of the popular travel show, but was shocked to find explicit material on her screen.
She took to twitter to voice her concerns, she said:
“I can’t wait until [RCN] wakes up [tomorrow] & realizes that hardcore porn was broadcast on [CNN] instead of [Parts Unknown] tonight,”
“Did anyone else with RCN in Boston see the hardcore porn that was broadcast by CNN by mistake?”
According to her, once RCN caught wind of the error, they temporarily pulled the next work off air.
RCN did offer a response to the complainant on Twitter. “We have not had any reports of the programming issue you mentioned on CNN in Boston,” they wrote.
“If you’re still having an issue with that channel, please DM us your address so we can troubleshoot when you’re home.”
RCN serves nearly 300,000 subscribers in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Earlier this year, the service provider was acquired for $1.6 billion by the private investment firm, TPG.
