White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, got a powerful pushback from an African reporter, Simon Ateba, on Tuesday over insinuations she was deflecting on the president’s worsening classified document scandal.
During a press conference at the White House, Jean-Pierre took reporter’s questions on a wide range of subjects.
Fox News White House Reporter Peter Doocy asked the Press Secretary multiple times to comment on the scandal, and Jean-Pierre dodged the questions.

Other journalists who attempted to ask similar questions, got the same treatment.
Ateba, the Chief White House Correspondent for Today News Africa, had had enough.
The journalist said, “Karine, since you don’t have any answer on the classified documents, you don’t seem a good fit for this job. We do not seem to have any answer from you.”
A flustered Jean-Pierre quickly gestured for another reporter to speak.
President Biden has been under intense criticism from the press, the Republican Party, and the public demanding he frontally addressed the matter.
A CNN Poll published Tuesday showed that 57 percent of Americans disapproved of the way the Biden White House has handled the president’s classified documents controversy.
