Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has urged the judiciary and the National Assembly to unite to save the nation from alleged imminent anarchy.
The ex-minister made the call while reacting to President Muhammadu Buhari’s suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen and replacement by Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle, Fani-Kayode said that the steps taken in the next few days by both the judiciary and the legislature to check the perceived excesses of the executive would determine the nation’s future.
He said, “The choices that the Judiciary and the National Assembly make in the next few days will determine the future of Nigeria.
“We are at a crossroads. We either choose to perpetuate the tyranny and slavery of a crude, cruel and barbaric vassal state or we insist on freedom and democracy.”
