“The more dangerous spots are the Bwonpe-Chip snake road and the Pankshin-Amper snake and narrow roads.

He said that the command and all Special Marshals of the unit would meet on Wednesday to come up with plans to mitigate road crashes during the festive period.

The unit commander said that the corps was working out a number of plans to ensure motoring of the roads for the safety of every road users, “especially at this period when people are always in a hurry“.

“As such, the command will leave no stone unturned to see that returnees and other motorists do not suffer undue stress this season, ’’ he said.

He warned motorists against over speeding and overloading, which said were some of the main factors that caused road crashes on the nation’s highways.
