As part of preparations for the commencement of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, the Nigeria U-17 side will do battle with their Argentine counterparts in a friendly game scheduled to hold on Tuesday.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Argentina Football Association (AFA) Training Centre in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, a statement from the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed.
According to the NFF statement made available on its website, the tune-up game will kick off at 7.30pm Nigerian time.
In the same vein, the team’s assistant coach, Kabiru Baleria applauded the NFF for their foresight in picking the “idyllic” Buenos Aires Football (BAF) centre for the team’s training ground in preparation for the World Cup.
The Golden Eaglets, as the Nigeria U-17 team is called, will hope to defend the title they won at the last edition of the U-17 World Cup that took place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2013.
The Nigeria side are the record holders in the competition, having won it on four occasions – 1985, 1993, 2007 and 2013.
