‘Our Children Are Still Expecting Their Daddy’ – Wife Of Murdered JUMIA Delivery Man Cries Out

Following the death of an e-commerce website, JUMIA’s delivery man identified as Chukwuma Eleje, his wife, Blessing has cried out with regards to their children.

Recall that the e-commerce website’s delivery man had been killed and thrown into a septic tank in Port Harcourt by three persons after they took delivery of two iPhones without payment.

Speaking after his death, the deceased’s wife noted that their four children are still expecting the return of their father.

Mrs. Eleje, the deceased’s wife who recalled her late husband’s promise to the children before he left home on the fateful day told a Port Harcourt-based radio station, Nigeria Info, that her children are still waiting for the goodies their dad promised.

She said: “He left for work telling us that he would be back. He promised the children by telling them he would buy a lot of goodies for them. Up till now, they are believing that their daddy is coming back.

“How will I cope with school fees? Our rent has expired and the landlord gave us one week and now the one week has expired.

“Now, I am hearing my husband is dead; how am I going to cope? He was just an ordinary man with a wife and four children.”

Speaking further, Mrs. Eleje revealed that in the aftermath of her husband’s death, before she got the news, people had started gathering at her compound telling her ‘sorry’.

“I did not know that the news had spread everywhere. My family and I were not aware until when I saw people gathering in my house telling me sorry. I was surprised, I didn’t understand why they were telling me sorry.”

Recall that the delivery man was killed by three persons -Sodienye Mbatumukeke, Excel Naabe and Joy Eluwa- at Shell Location, Mgbuoba, Off Ada George Road in Port Harcourt.
