Gennaro Gattuso didn’t mince words when he spoke about French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko who AC Milan loaned from Chelsea.
The Italian coach stated that the midfielder was ‘defective’ after a difficult start to life at the San Siro.
The Rossoneri were ahead by two goals and looked to be coasting to a comfortable victory before Napoli put 3 past them to win the game 3-2.
Bakayoko came on in the second half with the scores at 2-1 to shore up the defence but he failed to make a mark and Napoli put two goals to complete their comeback.
More frustrating was that he missed a header with the scores at 2-2 which could have won the game for Milan.

“Bakayoko has to learn how to get the ball,” the 40-year-old told his post-match press conference. “We must work correctly. It will not be easy.
“One week is not enough to remove the defects of a player. I would have preferred to be managing older, more experienced club players.”
AC Milan took the midfielder on loan after a disappointing season at Chelsea. The loan cost the Italian outfit €5m with the option to make it permanent by adding an extra €35m.
But if his performances are like last night’s, it’s likely that at the end of the season he’ll have to head back to Chelsea.
