The Chocolate city boss was arrested yesterday on charges of inciting the public after a series of tweets he posted turned out to be false and their content potentially harmful.
Since then there has been a division as to his arrest with some in support of it and many against it. The likes of Sound Sultan and MI were vocal about it and the hashtag #freeaudu was trending on Twitter.
It turned out that Bring Back Our Girls advocate, Oby Ezekwesili had interceded on his behalf after which Maikori was released.
According to a Twitter user called Edward Israel-Ayide, Maikori owes his freedom to his lawyer Barrister Mark Jacob. Ayide also put a photo of the newly released Chocolate City boss.
