1 Min Read

Nigerian singer and social activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has expressed doubts about the recent assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump. In a post on his X handle, Charly Boy suggested that the incident may have been a setup by Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.

Two people were killed and Trump was injured after gunshots were fired at his rally in Pennsylvania. The FBI identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks as the suspect involved in the attempted assassination.

Charly Boy raised several questions about the incident, including why the rooftop with a direct line of sight to the stage was left unsecured and whether Trump was really hit by a bullet or glass fragments. He called for a thorough investigation into the matter.

This is not the first time Charly Boy has spoken out on political issues. He has been an vocal critic of government policies and has advocated for social justice in Nigeria.
