Nigeria will drop six players today ahead of this weekend’s CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso in Port Harcourt.
“There are 24 players in the training camp and six players will be dropped today ahead of the match on Saturday,” disclosed Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye.
Usman Mohammed (FC Taraba), Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Prince Aggrey (Sunshine Stars), Chima Akas (Sharks), Austin Oboroakpo (Abia Warriors), Femi Thomas, Idris Aloma (Enyimba) and Ifeanyi Matthew (El Kanemi Warriors).
The return leg match is to be played in Ouagadougou a week after Saturday’s first leg in Nigeria.
The overall winners will advance to next year’s CHAN in Rwanda.
