The National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr Victor Oye, has attributed Gov. Willie Obiano’s success in the three years of his administration to his commitment to implementing the parity’s manifesto.
Oye expressed the view in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Awka on Wednesday on his assessment of the governor’s performance.
The governor will mark three years in office on Friday.
The party chairman said Anambra had been lucky with the APGA led-government as the harmony between Obiano’s vision and the APGA manifesto had made the state the best governed in the country.
Oye said the party remained the best alternative in the country because of its people-oriented manifesto and internal peace unlike what obtained in other parties.
“The general opinion is that the last three years in Anambra is one well spent, Obiano has discharged his responsibilities creditably and the people are very happy.
“APGA is the only political party with a clean bill of health; we are the only party that has clear manifesto on how to develop this country.
“If Nigerians will allow APGA be at the centre, the nation’s challenges would have been half solved.
“There is no magic in Anambra other than that the governor has a template which matched his vision.
“We gave him the platform, agreeable environment and made him know during the screening that the programme of the party is supreme.
“I may not bore you with the achievements of the governor but it is important to mention a few of them, like security, which is the best in the country, such that other states are coming here to find out the magic.
“This government has attracted over 4.8 billion dollars investment in all sectors, especially agriculture.
“We have attracted the biggest functional poultry farm, the biggest integrated rice farm with all the machines, including the generator locally made.
“No other party can do that because they lack the type of articulated vision that we have in APGA.
“You can see the progress in Anambra in the last 11 years, other parties are embroiled in problems, PDP is haemorrhaging and APC is asphyxiating,” he said. (NAN)
