Counsel to the former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe, has on Wednesday put on a show at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT over the importance of his client’s case with regards to the ongoing trial of the senate president.
Selekeowei Larry today argued with the CCT chairman, Danladi Umar when he said only 30 minutes will be allowed for witness cross examination after which the case would be adjourned for the Senate President’s case hearing.
Orubebe’s counsel, clearly angered countered the CCT Chairman, maintaining that Saraki’s case was not more important than his.
He proceeded to raise his voice demanding that the case hearing be continued irrespective of Saraki’s hearing.
He said: “We cannot be pushed aside because there is another case on the cause list”
Umar, angered b the confrontation replied: “We will proceed with your case tomorrow morning.” He further sealed the argument by adding: “Call the second cause”
