A staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) identified as Daniel Adefemi Okunade and three others were on Tuesday evening shot dead by daredevil armed robbers who stormed Abdullahi Supermarket in One Man Village, near Mararaba, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The victims were said to be customers at the popular supermarket when tragedy struck.
It was learnt that Okunade was identified through an identification card in his possession, although the identity of the three others could not be ascertained as of press time.
The CBN staff was reportedly shot in the head and died instantly during the robbery attack that lasted for a few minutes.
Okunade, who is said to be the choirmaster of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) also in One Man Village, reportedly parked his Toyota Venza vehicle outside while returning from work and stepped inside the supermarket to get bread for his family when the robbers struck.
It was gathered that his vehicle was not touched by the robbers.
Daily Post reported that police operatives from New Nyayan Divisional Police Station have since moved the corpses of the robbery victims to the Mararaba Medical Centre mortuary in Mararaba.
The FCT Police Command has yet to confirm the incident.
