“Bartier Cardi,” featuring 21 Savage – was a new single released by Rap’s biggest export of 2017, Cardi B. Reception was good with the only point of concern for some fan being the constant use of fiance, Offset’s name on the track.
While she had defended this, she has also found herself dealing with a sex tape leak.
The raunchy video surfaced online Friday. Blog MTONews claims the nude woman depicted in the clip is the ex stripper bronx rapper.
Cardi B’s press team denied mention, when Page Six tried to get a statement
Her fans, however, were not happy, as they feel with her past as a stripper it is only natural for there to be a considerable amount of material where she i nude. One fan tweeted:
“Yes, [Cardi B] used to be a stripper who has naked videos from her past stop bringing it up when she doing good always hating going on it’s really sad.”
Another said “Why are people leaking nude videos of Cardi B? She used to be a stripper, her naked body isn’t a secret or a scandal. Y’all won’t let anyone successful keep their past in the past.”
The tape is allegedly just a teaser to more explicit material
In the tape, Cardi B can be seen smiling, laughing, twerking and bending over for the camera.
Cardi B came to the spotlight with her triple platinum hit “Bodak Yellow” which upended Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me do” from the Billboard Hot 100 and earned her Single of the Year at the BET Awards.
Since she released a video of her latest song Friday, fans are speculating that the alleged sex-tape scandal is a p.r. stunt. With a fan speculating, “She obviously has haters that are trying to block her shine.”
Cardi B was nominated for two Grammys and is engaged to fellow rapper Offset of the chart-topping hip-hop trio Migos.
Condé Nast’s hipster music blog Pitchfork praised Cardi B’s new single, stating, “‘Bartier Cardi,’ in a way, feels like a celebration of her stunning rise,” and that her “follow-up to her lovable surprise smash ‘Bodak Yellow’ is even more audacious, a defiant dispatch that trades on power a No. 1 debut can provide . . . the Bronx native continues to be unforgettable.”
It appears that the release of her alleged sex tape does not seem to be affecting the success of her latest single.
