American rapper, Cardi B has disclosed how much it cost to shoot the music video for ‘WAP’.
Cardi B gave fans a sneak peek into the budgets of her music video, confirming that some of these high-quality visuals do not come cheap.
Speaking to fans on Twitter, she revealed that her collaborative “WAP” music video with Megan Thee Stallion cost $1 million to make, while “Please Me” cost $900,000 and “Money” cost $400,000 USD.
The price of “WAP” is due to the visuals, which also featured appearances from the likes of Kylie Jenner, Rubi Rose, Normani and Rosalía, and proved to be money well spent with the records it set in 2020.
Cardi B wrote: “Fun fact : Bodak yellow music video cost me 15 thousand dollars .I was in Dubai and I said ….I gotta fly picture (videographer) out here …BOOM BOOM BANG ! Ya know the rest.”
She also revealed that her now-husband Offset had a $40,000 USD wardrobe fee that forced her to go over the $15,000 USD budget for the “Lick” visual.
“…I had to pay it out my pocket cause I didn’t wanna look like a small artist with a tiny a*s music video budget …..I told him like a year later,”
