Cardi B has reacted to the backlash she has received after asking her followers if she should buy an $88,000 purse on Sunday night.
The ‘WAP’ rapper took to her Twitter on December 6 to engage in a conversation with her fans. She seemed to be interested in hearing the viewpoint of her followers, but her question was heavily slammed by many as some believed she boasted about her net worth.
She ask her fans a simple question about whether or not she should spend her money buying a purse.
“Should I spend 88K for this damn purse ? Omggg it’s tempting,” the rapper tweeted. In a couple of seconds, she became a victim of online trolls.
In response to the criticism, Cardi B offered to match donations to charities if people shared their receipts.
“I will match what you donated and match your donation to that same charity or foundation,” she tweeted. “Lets match energy.”

The rapper also revealed in another tweet: “Also I got 7 uncles an 3 aunts on my daddy side, 9 aunts and 3 uncles on my momma side a whole bunch of cousins I had to help cause of the pandemic.
“If I want to splurge I can with out yall asking for hand outs like me and my husband don’t do so.Thank you.”
