Following her impressive lead with nominations for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Cardi B has gone ahead to claim the crown of American female rap.
The sensational rapper defeated Nicki Minaj and Miami hip hop duo, City Girls to become the Top Female Rap Artiste at the ceremony on Wednesday night.

Cardi B also won the Top Rap Song for her hit, “I Like It” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny, defeating Drake’s “In My Feelings” and three other songs.
In her hilarious speech, the artist thanked her fans for their love and support, which has earned her so many awards.
She continued, “I know y’all love me. If you got a favourite artiste, support them. Stream their music. Listen to their music. Tell a friend to tell a friend about their music to get them on the chart, an upcoming artiste or artistes that are already out there. Support their music. Be the biggest fan that you can be.”
Cardi’s exceptional outing at this year’s Billboard Awards also got her theTop Hot 100 song for her feature on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”
