The Managing Director of Capital Oil, Andy Uba, has been released by the Department of State Security (DSS).
He was arrested on May 5th, 2017 for allegedly not remitting N11 billion made from the sale of petroleum products kept in his facility by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
A Lagos High Court and presided over by Justice Muhammed Idris, had ordered for his release by the DSS.
The Judge asked the DSS to produce evidence of the alleged crime, saying that failure to do so means that the Capital Oil boss should not be held in detention.
