Felix Anyansi-Agwu, Chairman, Enyimba International FC of Aba, says the team is focused and prepared to play Zamalek of Egypt in a Confederation of African (CAF) Champions League match.
Enyimba will meet Zamalek at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port Harcourt in a CAF Champions League Group B match on Sunday.
Agwu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Friday that the team was aware of the task ahead and was working hard to win the match.
“ So far so good, the preparation is on-going. The team is focused, their mental capacity is good, they are relaxed and it is important how you prepare the spirit of the team.
“ Looking at all these, the team will do well,” he said.
Agwu said the two time African Champions were not afraid of meeting the Egyptians having reached the group stage of the competition.
“ At this level of the competition, there is no lesser team. We have respect for them; they have a strong pedigree as much as we do.
“ Enyimba is also not a lesser team, looking at our accomplishments over the years,” he said.
The Chairman said Enyimba had played teams as big as Zamalek in the competition and would play the game to win.
“ This is a point game, what is important is the three points and that is our ultimate aim,” he said.
NAN reports that other clubs in Group B are Setif of Algeria and Sundowns of South Africa. (NAN)
