Cabo Verde Picks NAHCO to Handle Operations in Nigeria

2 Min Read

The national airline of Cape Verde, Cabo Verde Airlines, has chosen the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO), a ground handling operator, to handle its operations in Nigeria.

The Group Managing Director of NAHCO, Mrs Olatokunbo Fagbemi, made this known on Monday in Lagos.

Fagbemi, in a statement by
Mr Tayo Ajakaye, Manager, Communications & Corporate Services of NAHCO, said, “Cabo Verde is a passenger and cargo airline based in Cape Verde”.

According to her, it connects four continents with non-stop flights from its hub at Amílcar Cabral International Airport on Sal Island.

She said the airline would experience NAHCO aviance’ unparalleled professional services which had seen the ground handler corner, the handling of all European airlines that ply the Nigerian route.

Fagbemi said Cabo Verde, which flies four times into Lagos Airport at the moment, would join the list of other African airlines, which had partnered NAHCO Aviance for seamless operation in Nigeria.

She listed them to include: Kenya Airways, Rwanda Air, Egypt Air, Ethiopia Airlines, ASKY, Air Peace, Royal Air Maroc and Cronos.

Fagbemi said Cabo Verde’s increasing network includes flights to Washington and Boston in the U.S, Dakar, Senegal, and more than four destinations in Brazil, including Foraleza, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador.

She expressed delight with the new business, saying that the company had upped the ante in ground handling operations in Nigeria.

“We are doing everything right to please our customers who continue to rely on us to excel.

“Our unmatched investment in human capacity development continues to be the key to our soaring profile,” Fagbemi said.

She said the team of dedicated and well-motivated staff would continue to go the extra mile to support the company’s business partners.
