Big Brother Naija alum and disc jockey, Tolanibaj, has drawn parallels between herself and Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, citing a shared element of controversy in their respective brands.
During a recent episode of the Bahd And Boujee Podcast, co-hosted by Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, the reality star delved into this topic. She noted that while many people express admiration for Burna Boy’s music, they may not necessarily be fans of his personal life or personality.
In response to this observation, Tolanibaj expressed her ability to relate to Burna Boy because her brand, like his, carries an element of controversy. She suggested that there are moments when people, like Burna Boy, decide to speak out or express themselves because they’ve reached a point where they feel compelled to do so.
She explained, “So, when he decides to lash out here and there, I understand where he is coming from. It’s like when you take a lot, there’s only so much you can handle. You would say, ‘In fact, I’m going to speak.’ Do you get?“
